World Series: Game 1

On this rainy night in Boston, it was all Red Sox. I didn't get to watch much of the game, but I did watch the Red Sox's at bat in the 5th, (and I watched Beckett pitch in the 6th) and WOW! The Red Sox beat the Rockes 13-1, scoring all 13 runs by the 5th inning.
With the bases loaded the Red Sox batters kept getting walked forcing home 3 runs. The Sox absolutely smoked the Rockies. The big question is, was the Rockies 8 day layover too much? Did they lose too much momentum that they had after their National League win? Their pitching definitely said so. Will the Rockies ever be able to come back and make a showing in the 2007 World Series?

Go Red Sox!!!

After defeating the Cleveland Indians in the American League playoffs, the Red Sox are headed to the World Series against the Colorado Rockies. I had meant to comment on how awesome the Red Sox were back when they were losing 3-1 against the Indians, but never got that far. Now that they are headed to the World Series, I don't doubt they will win, no offense to the Rockies. And I do admit that I am a bandwagon fan of the Red Sox, being from Wisconsin I did root for the Brewers, even though I always knew they were a lost cause. But I do love Boston, and in that, I love the Red Sox. So go RED SOX!
